The Procedure
We begin by removing the old or existing mercury fillings. We then make an impression and create an inlay, onlay, or tooth-colored filling from composite resins and/or porcelain. The result is an all-white tooth that is virtually undistinguishable from your other teeth. The composite materials used for tooth-colored fillings are very durable and last for years. Since mercury or silver fillings need to be replaced as they wear, this is a procedure that assures your continued health and an appealing appearance.
We began using tooth-colored fillings at our Austin, Texas office in 1986, and CEREC® technology has since made the process even more efficient.
