It is our goal to help you achieve your perfect smile. A wonderful way to do this is with porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin coverings of porcelain that are adhered on the fronts of your existing teeth with a powerful bonding agent. These veneers are translucent which allows the natural vitality of the teeth to show through, lending the teeth a very natural appearance. Porcelain veneers do not stain and last for years. Since everybody has a different idea of what constitutes a pretty smile, we try to find out what you like by developing a prototype of your veneers in your mouth with temporary veneers. Through this process, we will help you choose the shape and color of your permanent veneers that you think looks best for your face. Your temporary veneers will look natural and will be made as close to ideal as possible to serve as your "trial run." When you like the way they look we will duplicate them and use this to fabricate your permanent veneers. Some people take longer to decide on the shape of their teeth than others. These people want to wear them for a couple of days to try them out. This will obviously extend the total time to get the final veneers back from the lab because we will not let the lab start without this important step. This ensures that you get the smile that you desire.

Porcelain Veneers in a Day

With the CEREC® technology available at our office, your porcelain veneers can be crafted and placed in one visit. In fact, Dr. Sakos can produce up to six porcelain veneers in a single day with CEREC®.

Teeth come in many different shapes: rounded, square, and pointed, with deep or shallow embrasures (the "V" shaped notches on the biting edge of your teeth). These shapes should fit your face and be designed according to your aesthetic tastes. This is one of the areas of which we are most proud. We work carefully with you to develop a prototype of your new smile in your mouth so that we can copy it. Then we can reproduce it in porcelain so that your porcelain veneers will suit your individual preference.

Using images of this prototype smile as its guide, the CEREC® machine creates durable, metal-free porcelain veneers that match the rest of your teeth in color and shape. Because the porcelain veneers are milled inside the CEREC® machine itself and Dr. Sakos custom colors them himself, an entire custom procedure can be completed in just a day.

After being applied, your porcelain veneers will look luminous and natural, and will function just like your original teeth. Porcelain veneers can also be combined with other cosmetic procedures, such as teeth whitening or tooth-colored fillings, creating a full smile makeover.
